CCP - Color Change Precision - Active Setups February 26, 2024 08:14 Updated CCP, or Color Change Precision, is the name used for how Coloreel ITCU controls variations in thread consumption. Embroidery machines have a natural variation in thread consumption. High-quality results in embroidery occur when the precision of the color changes is optimized. The ITCU has built-in functions to optimize the color change precision through estimations of the thread consumption. One of the most critical functions of CCP is the Active Setup. This function calculates specific estimations for different fabrics, backing combinations, and embroidery machines. A good practice is to create and train Setups for each material used for embroideries and ensure the correct Setup is chosen for each design. Active Setups record thread consumption data from embroideries successfully produced. The data is stored in the active Setup and will be used to ensure that the CCP conforms with the expected result for designs embroidered with the same or similar fabric. For every successful embroidery you produce, the active Setup will be updated with the thread consumption data. The ITCU averages the consumption data recordings from all embroideries, giving more accurate and stable data for the fabric type the more the Setup is used. At the same time, the thread consumption data is stored separately for each design, ensuring that the next time you run the same design on the same fabric, the result will be the same as the previously produced embroidery design. Choosing the correct Setup is vital to take advantage of the stored data. Should you use a Setup created and trained to a different fabric, the Setup might be confused and ruined. The Full Operator Manual will instruct how to use the CCP functionality, including how to Select, Create new, Optimize, and Edit Active Setups. This video lesson from Coloreel Academy will show how to handle setups and other items to ensure good Color Change Precision. Read more about how you can use the Coloreel Studio CCP Soft Proofing tools to ensure your design is CCP secured.
