Multihead - ITCU Advanced Operator's Manual May 12, 2022 13:32 Updated v2.0.0 Multihead Setups It is possible to operate more than 1 Coloreel ITCU at the same time. To operate more than 1 Coloreel ITCU you have to set 1 unit as a Host and the other units as Clients. The Host unit will share the embroideries to the connected Clients, Start the warm up process and start the print job on the Clients when they are ready to operate. Multihead setup overview Multihead setup Add/Pair a new client unit. Shows a list of the added client units Host unit Edit the selected unit .. To set up a multihead group If there are no host or clients added to the multihead group, you must start by selecting if this unit will be the host or client. Select Host (A) to make the Coloreel ITCU to a host. Select Client (B) to make the Coloreel ITCU to a client. Note: Naming your units makes it easy to manage multi head groups. Refer to Settings - General. ... To add a host A Coloreel ITCU host sends data and instructions to all active Coloreel ITCU clients. Select Host. Refer to To set up a multihead group. Make sure that the Coloreel ITCU now has the status Host unit. ... To add a client from the host unit Note: All units in the multihead group needs to have the same software version to be operable. A Coloreel ITCU client gets data and instructions from the Coloreel ITCU host. Make sure that you have set a Coloreel ITCU as the host. Refer to To set up a multihead group. Select Add/Pair a new client unit. The Coloreel ITCU units that is available on the network shows (A). Select Add this unit to the group (B), to add one of the Coloreel ITCU units. No you need to enter an Access Key to ITCU. If you are not already logged in to the Coloreel ITCU client on a web browser, click on the link (C) to log in. Select Click here to generate and copy the key (D). The key (E) is generated and copied to the clipboard. You can also copy the key manually. Paste the copied key into the key field (F). Select Add client. The Coloreel ITCU is added to the multihead group. .... To manage the units in the multihead group You can view more information, remove, change order and active/deactive units from the multi-head group page. Click on the Storage menu button (A). Select Remove Multi-Head Group to remove a group. The multihead group is removed permanently. Select Disable group to disable a group. The multihead group is temporarily disabled until you select Enable group. You can also disable a single client if you click on the button on the client card. Select Embroideries screen right/left to shift the order of the clients. Select Edit view to change order of the clients or remove a client. You can drag and drop to change the order of the units. To remove a unit, select the red X (B). ..... To use an individual setup in a multihead group The individual setup that you select on the host will be transferred to all the clients. When that setup is used, the model will be trained on all units. Select the Individual setup (A) that you want to use on the multihead host unit. ...... To view the status of hosts and clients During operation, it is possible to view a short status report for both host and clients in the multihead group. Refer to Troubleshooting - Notifications for more information on the colors status. The status of a host or a client shows on each host or client card (A). The frame of a host or a client card has the color of the status (B). The progress of a host or a client shows on the lower bar (C) on each host or client. Click on a host or a client to see more information. ...... Unit status in a Multi-head Group There are 5 different status levels that can occur on Coloreel ITCU units in a Multi-head Group. ....... To see detailed information, notifications and errors on units Click on a host or a client Coloreel ITCU unit that you want to see detailed information for. A list of active notification shows (A). If you try to start a print job with unresolved notifications, a pop-up window with the notifications show. You must resolve all notifications with an exclamation mark, '!', before you can start a print job. For more information on notifications, refer to the Troubleshooting chapter ........ To operate a multihead group Note: Use only Firefox or Chrome browsers to operate the Coloreel unit from a web browser. To start a multihead print job Log in to the operator panel on the host unit. Select Embroideries in the operator panel. Refer to Operator panel overview. Follow the instruction To start a print job to upload and select a print design. Review the Pattern and Client details (A). The print job is ready to start when all the clients has reached status Dispensing. Click on the Start group button. Pull the thread to the start marker on all units. Refer to To pull the thread for how to pull the thread. ......... To manually pause and continue a multihead print job When the Coloreel ITCU has been idle for more than 10 minutes the unit will pause automatically. Also, if an embroidery enters a large section of non-color thread the Coloreel ITCU automatically pauses. The Coloreel ITCU then automatically continues for the next color section. Click on the Pause button (A) to manually pause the print job on all units. Click on the Continue button (B) to continue the print job. .......... To stop the Multi-head group Select the Stop group button to stop the coloring on all embroidery units. Note: You can only stop the print job when the first client unit has reached status dispensing.
