Maintenance - Advanced Operator's Manual June 08, 2022 07:15 Updated v2.0.0 Maintenance for the ITCU This article will cover the following points: Maintenance schedule Ink cartridges Waste tank To add or replace Lubricant fluid To replace Washing fluid To perform Cleaning and Deep cleaning . Maintenance schedule Daily, or before operation maintenance Make sure that you have enough thread on the Thread Reel for your embroidery Make sure that you threaded the Coloreel ITCU correctly and that the Entry Feeder and Exit Feeder are fully closed Weekly or after 40 hours of operation Examine the Washer Fluid level. Add Washer Fluid if it is necessary. Use a syringe filled to half with washing fluid. Enter the tube approximately 15 mm into the Washer tank (remove the red cover). Pull the syringe outwards. If air is being entered into the syringe, add some washing fluid. Repeat until washing fluid, not air enters the syringe while pulling it. Make sure that the Washer Fluid is flowing to the Washer tank through the Active Carbon Filter. You can see the fluid transport through the clear tubes connecting the filters to the Washing unit Examine the Lubrication level. Add Lubrication if it is necessary. Clean all thread guides and thread contact points in the Coloreel ITCU and the embroidery machine from excess Ink and Lubrication. Use a Q-tip to clean the guides. Clean the Contact Fixation Unit with Scotch Brite and Washing Fluid or similar Examine the Ink levels. Make sure that the expiration date on the Ink Cartridges has not expired. You can access detailed information about the cartridges using Service Tool - Levels Monthly or after 160 hours of operation Examine the Air Filter for the Fixation Fan. If heavily soiled, replace the filter Examine the quality of the Lubrication Fluid and make sure that it is not discolored, dirty, or layered If it is, empty the Lubrication module, clean with warm water and soap, let it dry and refill with fresh Lubrication fluid Examine the Washer Fluid and make sure that it is not discolored or dirty If it is, drain both the tank and though and refill with fresh Washing fluid Every 3 month or after 500 hours of operation Replace the Active Carbon Filter and the Particle Filter Replace the Air Filter for the Air Fixation Fan Drain the Lubrication tank and clean it fully. Refill the Lubrication Tank with new Lubrication Fluid Drain the Washer Module and refill with new Washer Fluid Use the Syringe with a hose to extract the fluid from the Washer tank (remove the red cap) and from the through (under the lid of the washer module) - Separate instructions here... Every 6 month or after 1000 hours of operation Replace the Pump Tube on the Washing module Yearly service Refer to a trained Coloreel Service technician .. Ink cartridges Warning: If cartridge fluid makes contact with exposed skin, wash with soap and water. If cartridge fluid contacts eyes, immediately flush with water and seek medical advice. To replace an Ink Cartridge Make sure that the unit is powered on. Make sure that no print job is active and that the Coloreel ITCU is not under maintenance. Open the Ink Cartridge door. Remove the empty Ink Cartridge Fit the new Ink cartridge into the Ink Cartridge holder Note: The guides on the Ink Cartridge makes it to fit only in the correct Ink Cartridge slot of the holder. Put the new Ink Cartridge into the Ink Cartridge holder and push it down until you hear a click. Close the Ink Cartridge door. Send the empty Ink Cartridge to Coloreel for refilling. ... To replace the waste tank Make sure that the unit is powered on. Make sure that no print job is active and that the Coloreel ITCU is not under maintenance. Open the Ink Cartridge door. Push the lock on the Waste Tank and remove it. Replace the Waste Tank with a new one. Close the Ink Cartridge door. Send the full waste tank together with your empty Ink Cartridge to Coloreel for recycling. .... To add or replace Lubricant fluid Locate the lubrication module Examine the looks of the Lubricant in the through. If it show signs of separation or miscoloring, dispose the fluid according to local regulations. Rinse the Lubrication module using hot water and mild detergent. Let it dry completely before continuing. Add lubricant and make sure that it does not exceed the Max level indication. ..... To fill and replace washer fluid Locate the washer module Remove the rubber plug. Use the syringe to remove the remains of the washer fluid in the tank. Use the syringe to fill 200ml of new washer fluid into the tank. Put the rubber plug back and make sure it is attached correctly. ...... To perform a cleaning and a deep cleaning During normal operation, the Coloreel ITCU performs cleaning. Sometimes the Coloreel ITCU may need an extra cleaning procedure to remove dirt and clogged materials from the printer heads. Note: When you perform a deep clean, a large amount of ink is used and should only be used if it is absolutely necessary. Select 1-4 color buttons, or select the All button for all colors. Note: You can only do 1 cleaning task at a time. You cannot select colors from both cleaning and deep cleaning at the same time. Click on the Start cleaning button (A). The Coloreel ITCU starts the cleaning. The progress of thecleaning shows in the progress bar. Note: Priming is performed before delivery of the Coloreel ITCU and can be done by a service technician if it is necessary. Not the information you are looking for?
