Exporting the Coloreel CSE file to be used by the Coloreel ITCU Selecting the Coloreel Needle When the Coloreel system is installed on an embroidery machine, it will feed thread into one particular needle. By default, needle #1 will be used for this purpose. However, if you want to change the needle position, there are settings in two locations. Design specific setting On the Menu Bar, select File - Design Properties (or click Shift+E) to open the Design Properties page. On the Properties Page, select the Needles tab. In the "Color Needles" area at the bottom of the page, click inside the number field to see the list of needles. Select the needle number you want to use for the Coloreel ITCU. Click OK. The Design Properties dialog will close, and the selected needle number will be used to apply Coloreel swatches and patterns to the correct needle. Default Coloreel needle setting A setting in the Tajima DG16 to choose a default Coloreel number to always be present at new design files is available in the User Settings. Choose your location and confirm the File name (defaults as the DG design name) Click Save The embroidery stitch file and the Coloreel design file are both needed to produce a Coloreel-colored embroidery.
