Troubleshooting - Incorrect Colors February 17, 2023 15:51 Updated This article will cover some of the troubleshooting methods, should your colors from the ITCU come out incorrect. Maintenance routines The Coloreel unit is equipped with automatic maintenance routines to ensure the Coloreel thread always comes out with good quality and the correct colors. One crucial factor is time; if your unit is inactive for long periods, it might lead to clogged Print head nozzles, giving you color problems. The solution for avoiding this is to use your unit frequently. Should you have long periods of inactivity, you should power on the unit at least every two weeks to clean the Print Heads. When powering the unit on, please allow it to run the Automatic Maintenance routines before turning the power off again. To identify color problems When using the unit to produce colored thread for your designs, reviewing and comparing the embroideries for color and quality is essential. Identifying problems early on is vital for keeping productivity high and limiting the number of ruined designs. Check the Start Marker for missing color. You will pull the thread to the Start Marker every time you start an embroidery. This is a perfect time to check the printer head's ability to give color to the thread. The Start Marker will color the thread in the four colors available from the printer: Cyan - Magenta - Yellow, and Black. In that order, they are separated by a piece of white thread. Missing or very pale coloring can indicate blocked nozzles and allow you to correct problems before they enter the embroidered garment. Should you see deviations from the Start Marker, and suspect clogged Print Heads, follow these directions: Run any Coloreel-colored embroidery. This will "exercise" the Print Heads and probably make the work properly again. Often just using the unit will resolve coloring issues. Should the issue still be at hand? Start by performing a Manual Clean. Go to the Maintenance tab in the left sidebar of the Operator panel. Choose cleaning of one or several colors giving you problems. By selecting "All," you can clean all four Print Heads. Tap the "START CLEANING"-button to begin the cleaning process. When the cleaning process is finished, you will be notified by a pop-up. Do you still accounter coloring issues? Time to do a Deep Clean. First, you must use a Computer or Tablet to log in to the Advanced User panel with a web browser. Click the Maintenance tab in the left sidebar. Choose the extra option to perform a Deep Cleaning. For a Deep Cleaning, we recommend that you select "All." Click the "START DEEP CLEANING"-button to begin. Warning: This process will use a lot of ink. The Deep Cleaning process will take more than one minute to complete, and you will see a Notification when the cleaning is finished. If those troubleshooting actions don't solve the color issue Please contact Coloreel Support, and a support agent will contact you to solve the issue.
